Our History

We owed to Angelo and Antonio del Vecchio the presence of the traditional and millenary “Fromaggi a pasta filata” Stretched curd type cheese, the mayor Italian contribution to the world cheese's industry and culture. In 1923 They created THE FACTORY OF ITALIAN CHEESE DEL VECCHIO S.A. to produce this and other kinds of cheese with the best knowledge in production given by the masters of cheese from the south and meridional Italy . The culture and alimentary habits in Colombia were enriched as so with distinctive aromas, textures and flavors of cheese unknown by then. Today we continue with this traditional production from the beginning of the century with the same carefulness and love with the confidence of being offering the best from this historical legate that is a part of our culture and with which several generations have been growing enjoying flavor, quality and nutrition.

The desire to offer the historical legate given to us, the choice of our consumers and friends, and the social compromise have made us become known to a national level adjusting the structure of our company to the contemporary times not only in technology but also in human resources in order to answer with loyalty, honestly and rigorous selection of values to the every day expanded consumption of PEAR CHEESE that in Colombia is synonymous of DEL VECCHIO
